Who We Are
Dr. Sean Bahrami
DDS
Dr Sean Bahrami grew up in Germantown Maryland. As a youngster he was always involved in playing sports and it was his favorite hobby. However, Once he started working as a dentist, it was evident to him that preserving his physical and mental health is crucial in having a successful and lasting career.
He first started to share his passion for wellness with his patients by organizing yoga sessions every Saturday at his dental office. The goal was to emphasize a holistic approach to health that goes beyond just the dental needs of patients. As Dr. Sean shared his passion for wellness with other dental professionals, he recognized a strong interest and need to create a community for individuals that are working in the challenging field of dentistry.
Dr. Sean joined Karolynn Hilaski, RDH to create Dental Wellness Society, a non-profit organization that strives to inspire and empower dental professionals to achieve holistic wellbeing and career longevity. Dental Wellness Society organizes and hosts in-person workout sessions, informative educational webinars and social events throughout the year to provide comprehensive health education, community support and better lifestyle advocacy.
Karolynn Hilaski
RDH, BSDH

Karolynn grew up in rural Michigan where physical health was not always considered when thinking longevity to life. After attending college at University of Michigan and taking many courses on nutrition and physical health, she moved to Maryland to practice dental hygiene for over 10 years.
I was noticing many common issues with practicing. Headaches, brain fog, stiff back and joints. I started to practice yoga daily and became a certified yoga instructor in 2012. I noticed a gap in the industry where we didn’t have a great association on how to live a healthy life and prolong our career.
I want to be the voice and advocate to the dental community to help dental professionals optimize their health and wellness journey. I am a huge believer that you can't be great at your job if you don’t take care of yourself. There are many fad diets, pills, and quick fixes out there- it can leave people confused and overwhelmed. I want to help others find a pathway to long term health and help people stay in their roles longer!
